This album is being made week by week. As long as you have a bandcamp account set up you'll get a new track for the next few weeks. A bit like a subscription. I've been releasing these tracks via my YouTube page, trying to get one complete each friday evening.

If you're reading this early then expect it to be a double in total. All tracks have been mastered at 24 bit 96k for the hi res fans.

This is an album of what I like to call Abstract funk. It's very heavily influenced by Miles Davis Electric period (one of my favourite ever seams to mine along with plenty of the offshoots that went on (herbie Hancock, eddie Henderson and so on).

My main method is jamming against myself, I play all the instruments (though I confess to programming the drums and percussion parts).

As always with recording I try and keep things as live as possible, I stay away from looping myself cause it robs music of dynamics.

And dynamics are something I've really tried to preserve in all of these recordings.

So, here are a bunch of polyrhythmic jazz funk workouts, most of them using the crazy, four way symmetrical fully diminished scale.
